                           Ronald Lee Cobb

                            Holton, Kansas

 

 

Ronald Lee Cobb is the Director of “Hope, Help, Health“,

a substance abuse and mental health recovery clinic in Holton,

Kansas. He has been an ordained Christian Minister since 1969. 

In 2003, with the rank of Colonel in the US Army, he served as

the command chaplain of the SFOR 13 US peacekeeping force

based at Eagle Base, Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. In 2004, as

a certified addiction therapist (CADC II National Association of

Addiction Therapists), he taught seminars on faith-based therapy to

Islamic imams and medresa faculty in Tuzla Bosnia. He has a Doctor

of Ministry degree from the San Francisco Theological Seminary, a

Masters of Divinity degree from Central Seminary, Kansas City, Kansas,

a master's degree in Religion from the University of Kansas where he

studied Slavic culture and religion, and a bachelor's degree in History

from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, California.

Douglas C. Mitarotonda

          Ithaca, NY  

Douglas C. Mitarotonda is currently a PhD candidate in Economics at

Cornell University, a Cornell teaching assistant in economics (and

previously in computer science), a columnist for The Cornell Daily Sun,

and a member of the Cornell University Board of Trustees. In 2003, he

taught computer science in Tuzla, Bosnia as a member of the Cornell

chapter of Engineers for a Sustainable World. In 2004, he returned to

Tuzla to help the Center for Balkan Development further develop its

computer science programs. He holds two degrees from Cornell University,

a Masters of Engineering in Computer Science and a Bachelors of Arts

degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, and Asian Studies.

 Michael Poage

Wichita, Kansas

Michael Poage is the pastor of Fairmount United Church of Christ, Wichita, KS

and an adjunct professor at Wichita State University and Friends University in

Arts and Humanities, teaching Creative Writing, American Poetry, Comparative

Literature, Minority and Urban Studies.  He has five books of poems published

and has given workshops and readings in several U.S. states as well as Latvia

and Bosnia.  He has traveled to Bosnia four times since 2000 working with

Church World Service, participating in a peace conferences in Mostar and

Sarajevo and working with several NGO's in Bosnia including the Tuzla-based

organization BILD www.bildbosnia.org . He is married to Gretchen Eick, Professor

of History at Friends University, and in their blended family they have six children

and five grandchildren. Mike has a Master of Divinity degree from San Francisco

Theological Seminary, a Master of Fine Arts degree from the University of

Montana, graduate study in theology from Fuller Theological Seminary, and a

Bachelor's degree in Social Sciences from Westmont College, Santa Barbara, CA.

Antonia M. Rosenbaum

          Ithaca, NY  

Antonia M. Rosenbaum, until retiring in 2004, was the Associate Director

of Cornell University's Local Roads Program where she managed a

transportation technology transfer program with an annual budget of

approximately $750,000. In 2000 she first traveled to Bosnia when her

husband taught at Tuzla University's Summer Institute. In 2001-2002,

she spent four months in Tuzla when her husband accepted a Fulbright

Scholarship at Tuzla University. During that time, she helped Tuzla-based

NGO's develop succcessful funding proposals for education and community

development projects. Toni also has experience as a communication

consultant, teacher, and community volunteer. She has bachelor's and

master's degrees in Education from the Pennsylvania State University.

Christopher F. Bragdon

        Ithaca, NY  

Christopher F. Bragdon is the Executive Director of the non-profit

organization “BILD“ – Bosnia Initiatives for Local Development – based

in Tuzla, Bosnia and Herzegovina. He has been implementing humanitarian

and development projects in Tuzla since 1996. In 1999, he was the

Director of  the “English-for-Bosnia“ program of Cornell University's

Bosnia Coordinating Committee implementing an English teaching program

at Tuzla University. From 2000 to 2005, he was the Director of Bosnia

Projects for the Center for Balkan Development, managing the country

office in Tuzla, during which time he fundraised for and developed a wide

range of projects in education and community development. He splits his

time evenly between Tuzla Bosnia and Ithaca NY, either implementing

projects in Bosnia or fundraising for them while in the United States.

He has a bachelor's degree in Sociology from Amherst College.
